System Development Engineer

To reinforce our R&D team, we are looking for a System Development Engineer with strong knowledge on operating systems, in order to reinforce our R&D team in multimedia and mobile services.

This position will give you the opportunity to take a crucial part in innovation-driven and ambitious projects, teaming up with a young and dynamic staff.

On a daily basis, you will in charge of the conception, programming, maintenance and documentation of one or more modules. Your job will be to take care of all the aspects directly linked with the OS and make them optimized accordingly. You need to be an expert in terms of OS architecture and proposed solutions. The different existing modules are: Linux server, PC Linux/Windows clients, Mobile client under Android/Maemo/Iphone.


Engineering School Graduate or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the domain of software or system programming, preferably under mobile-oriented technologies.

You are:

  • Skilled in programming languages, especially through open source technologies;

  • Autonomous, keen on learning and discovering new technologies and methodologies;

  • Curious, strong team-spirit and pro-active facing problems solving issues. Relying on your strong interest for new technologies, you will propose evolutions and new services/functionalities to the developed multimedia solutions.

 

You have experience or in-depth knowledge in one or more of the following domains:

  • Object programming: Java, C++, Python, etc.

  • Agile methodology ;

  • Strong knowledge on operating systems (Linux, Windows, Android …): kernel, scripting, modules, drivers, etc…;

  • System administration tools, development tools;

  • Networks: integration of existing protocols (IPTV, VoIP, RTP, SIP, TCP/IP...);

  • Multimedia applications development.
